HockeyPulse starts a new chapter from today, with news that Rebecca Richards has taken over ownership of the site from Rowan Lean, who has been the administrator and founder of HockeyPulse since its inception in 2005. HockeyPulse has had a very interesting, colourful, and rewarding life to date, and with the massive amounts of effort put into the site by Rowan and others, has grown to become the definitive site for the Australian ice hockey community. HP popularity peaked during the Division II World Championships in April 2008, where thousands of screaming Aussie fans were mesmerised by a dominant Australian Senior Mens Team, who took out gold and advanced to Division I. For the immediate future, not much will change. A new owner equals a new challenge, and new opportunities. The popular HockeyPulse Forum will remain, as will all the existing articles and pictures. As time passes, a new look, and new features will be added (like a picture gallery, to showcase Ice Hockey and the players), and others will be retired or changed. Unfortunately, it all "aint gonna happen overnight". As the new owner, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Rowan for the foresight, dedication, and hard work he has put into HockeyPulse, and I look forward to the challenges ahead, moulding and kneading HockeyPulse into becoming the cornerstone ice hockey website for the Aussie community - putting the Pulse back into Ice Hockey.
